About Us

Dr. Bert Ledell was born and raised here in McPherson and grew up on a farm 5 miles north of town.  He graduated from Kansas State University in 1976. He practiced in Illinois for 6 years before returning to Kansas and purchasing McPherson Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Ledell has been serving the McPherson community and their pets with care and compassion since 1982. He is married and his wife Jane is a computer technician at McPherson Middle School.  His daughter Nettie is married and lives in Venice, Italy, where she is studying opera. 

Laura came to work as our groomer in November of 2005. Before moving back to Inman in 2005 she lived in Manhattan where she attended KSU and worked as a groomer.   Currently she resides in Inman with her husband Chris, 2 Australian Shepherds (Qwiver and Puzzle), 2 Chihuahuas (Walnut and Darwin), 3 cats (Ramses, Xerxes and Pirate), and sometimes her step-son Drake. 

Heidi has worked at McPherson Veterinary Clinic for 3 ½ years as our receptionist.  She has lived in McPherson for 16 years with her husband Ken and their 3 boys, Steven, Nick and Michael. They have 3 dogs - a Portuguese Water Dog, Pekoe; an Irish Water Spaniel, Ruby; and a Chihuahua named Duncan.  She loves animals and not only does she work with them, they are her hobby too. She competes in agility with Ruby and conformation with Pekoe.

Heather joined our staff in August of 2007 as our kennel person. Her eagerness to learn and smiling face have been a great addition to our staff. She has 4 cats, Angel, Missy, Precious and Felix. She is a true cat lover as she gives them baths weekly! She has lived in McPherson her whole life and we are so lucky to have found her.

Kayleen joined our grooming staff in October, 2007. She has been grooming for 5 years here in McPherson. She lives in Buehler, Kansas and is married and has two boys, Jonah and Calum. She loves animals and has quite the little brood including; 3 goats, 5 geese, 3 cats, 6 dogs, 5 guinea pigs, and about 30 chickens. She competes in agility and conformation with her Chihuahuas, Standard Poodle and German Wire Haired Pointer. 

Patty joined our facility in August of 2008 as  a veterinary assistant and kennel staff.  She lives in McPherson and has a Cocker Spaniel.
